Yes, Bitcoin transfers to external wallets are supported, but it depends on the platform you're using. On eToro, external transfers of BTC is allowed, but only if you purchased real Bitcoin (not CFDs). Use the eToro Money crypto wallet app to move your BTC to a personal wallet or another exchange.

Planning to Buy and Hold Bitcoin on a Crypto Exchange or Broker?

Before you hit that “buy” button, double-check what your exchange or broker actually offers.

Some platforms only let you trade Bitcoin as a financial product. Basically, you're speculating on the price without ever owning the asset itself. That means no wallet access, no transfers out.

If moving your BTC to an external wallet matters to you, make sure withdrawals are allowed. Not every platform makes that possible.

External BTC Transfers Supported by eToro

Yes, eToro allows external BTC transfers but there are a few boxes you’ll need to tick first.

To qualify, your Bitcoin must be the real deal. That means a non-leveraged, not a long position, and not a CFD (contracts for difference). Your eToro account also needs to be fully verified, including your ID and phone number.

Step-by-Step: Moving BTC Off eToro

This is how the transfer process works:

  1. Install the eToro Money app (available on both iOS and Android).
  2. Head back to the main eToro platform, go to your Bitcoin position, and select “Transfer to Wallet.” This moves your BTC to the eToro Money crypto wallet.
  3. Open the eToro Money app, select BTC, tap Send, enter your destination wallet address or scan a QR code.
  4. Confirm the transfer using SMS verification.

That’s it, your BTC is on the move. Just note that blockchain network fees apply when sending to your external wallet.

Just a heads-up:

There’s a minimum transfer amount (it's 0.007195 BTC as of this writing but I suggest that you check their crypto coin transfer page for the latest info) and a 2% fee when moving your coins from the trading platform into your wallet. That fee is capped between roughly $1 and $100. You can also send up to about $50,000 worth of BTC per transaction, and that same limit applies daily.
