On eToro, you cannot change your account's currency. You can only adjust the "display currency" of your account to view your portfolio in a preferred currency. This change is purely cosmetic and does not affect the underlying currency of your trades or trading account balance, which remain in US dollars (USD).

How to Change Your Display Currency on eToro

Here’s how to switch up what you see:

  1. Log in to your eToro account.
  2. Head over to Settings.
  3. Look under the Display tab for “Display Currency”.
  4. Pick the currency you want from the list.
  5. Hit save.

That’s it.

Heads-Up Before You Switch

  • Everything still runs on USD: Your trades, deposits, and balance don’t change just because your display does. The numbers might look different, but the backend stays the same.
  • Conversion fees may apply: If you’re depositing or withdrawing in anything other than USD, expect a currency conversion fee.

Changing the display currency helps you see your portfolio in your own terms. I find this handy for tracking value in my local currency. But let's not forget that every transaction is still executed in USD behind the scenes.
