Yes, if you’re in the United States and have the right setup. eToro offers stock options through a dedicated platform designed just for this. Outside the U.S.? You’re out of luck for now and will need a different broker for options trading.

At a Glance

Feature Details
Availability U.S. customers only (requires SSN and U.S. phone number)
Platform Runs on a separate app called eToro Options (formerly Gatsby)
Option Types Long calls, long puts, debit spreads (Options Levels 2 & 3)
Fees No commissions or per-contract charges; standard SEC/FINRA fees still apply
Cash Interest Earn about 3.9% interest on idle cash (minus a $2 monthly fee, waived if your balance stays at $5K or more)

U.S. Only

Trading stock options on eToro is off-limits if you’re not a verified U.S. user. The rest of the world can stick with stocks, ETFs, CFDs, crypto, or forex. No options menu outside the States.

Separate App, Separate Game

You won’t find options inside the main eToro app. Instead, you’ll download the stand-alone eToro Options app to open, fund, and trade.

Keep It Simple

The platform sticks to basic strategies. Long calls, puts, and debit spreads are all fair game. Want iron condors or uncovered shorts? You’ll need a bigger sandbox, eToro doesn’t offer them.

Low-Cost, No Frills

No commissions. No per-contract fees. Just the standard regulatory add-ons you’d pay anywhere else. If you park cash in your options account, you can earn interest too (3.9% at last check) though there’s a small monthly fee unless you keep $5K or more in play.

So if you’re a U.S. trader after straightforward stock options without a complicated setup, eToro Options is easy to get started with. If you live outside the States or want to try advanced multi-leg strategies, you’ll want to look at other platforms that go deeper.
